From little things, big things grow 🌱✨ Today mark From little things, big things grow 🌱✨ Today marks the 11 year birthday of The Mud Room Design Studio. When I started my business, I had no idea how many amazing clients I’d have the pleasure of working with, the impact that my skills would make for others. It has been a tremendous learning curve as time has gone on, a roller coaster of emotions as I’ve pushed through the feast and famine cycles, wondering if I should throw the towel in or push forward. I wouldn’t change it for the world and I’m so grateful to everyone that has invited me to be a part of their graphic and web design projects. As we are sit on the mountain, looking across as the swell of ai coming across the landscape, I have no idea what that means or holds for this little small business. It somewhat terrifies me and excites me at the possibility. It also makes me wonder whether I should be looking at shifting paths, perhaps studying art therapy or moving away from a creative path all together. Whatever the future may hold, I am so proud of what I’ve built here in The Mud Room Design Studio. Thanks for being here and following along the journey!
Empower the woman 🖤 Working with Cristy from @empo Empower the woman 🖤 Working with Cristy from @empowerthewoman to rebuild her online home was nothing short of magical. We worked together to rebuild her website on a platform that she can edit and feel empowered with moving forward. The final design is a magical yet earthy website that showcases all of the incredible offerings that Cristy has. Thank you @empowerthewoman ✨ this was a dream project to be part of.

August Design Files & Office Update 🗂️ it’s been a August Design Files & Office Update 🗂️ it’s been a busy month with lots of open projects and works in progress, with only a few projects finalised and launched! 🐴Beautiful and Strategic website updates for @lillico_nurture ensuring that we have new services uploaded including a school holiday program. We have integrated a booking and payment system to streamline business processes. 🎨 Visual identity and social media support for @bycbstyle Catherine came to me looking for a design solution for her new colour analysis and styling biz. New website is on the cards too. 🛖 Visual identity design and website for Cairns Rental Realty. Luxe yet grounded and down to earth with a touch of Kuranda vibes included IYKYK. Highlight of this project was the delightful little icon that I created incorporating a key and a palm tree. 🧬 Website launch for a high profile leader in the SSTEM space (that I unfortunately can’t share) Whilst these projects have launched, I have been busy working on: - the next Eat Drink Gippsland guide with team @visitgippsland - Brand new online home for @empowerthewoman - a fresh new look and website for @brenton_jones91 - finalizing visual identities for @need2readbookstore and @cafealchemmi September is set to be another huge month and I can’t wait to share all these projects once they launch. Meaning that as your business grows. Your website can grow with you. 🌱 No need to start from scratch or use different platforms. Just have all things in the 1 place. This month I’ve worked on setting up e-commerce functionality on @flourishingfigures , I’ve setup a booking system so that @bodyevolutionpt can get his clients booking for classes online and setting up a membership and directory for Creative Women in web design. The WordPress plugin directory currently has over 59,000 plugins! What would you add to your website for the next chapter in your small business?
Wow! What an incredible evening was had for the la Wow! What an incredible evening was had for the launch of @westgippslandwomen. When we first started throwing the idea around about what a female founders community would look like, I never imagined that we would sell out our launch event and have the most inspiring women attend. Last night, co-founders Lizzie, Jane, Julie and myself spoke about the core values that WGW is built on, care, connection, collaboration and creativity. I spoke to how I believe that creativity is the fuel that small businesses run on and I believe that we are all creativity in our own unique ways. Creativity is my lifeline because it brings me back to myself. In the chaos of life, running a business and the demands of parenting. Creativity isn’t about making something perfect—it’s about exploring, playing, expressing something real and finding solutions that weren’t there before. 

Creativity is a form of connection: to my inner world, to others, to my work, and to the beauty in the everyday. I’d love to know what creativity means to you? I can’t wait to see what creative collaborations come from this incredible community. How creative thinking when coming together will help show us our blind spots and open our eyes to different ideas and ways of doing things. This is only the beginning for West Gippsland Women!
