oh hey!

LET ME HANG YOUR COAT, WHILE YOU SLIP OFF YOUR MUDDY GUMBOOTS AND LET YOUR SHOULDERS RELAX.

I’ve got a warm cuppa ready for you and I can’t wait to hear more about your incredible business. Why don’t I tell you a little bit about me?

Hi, I'm Kate

I’m the creative mind – and hands – behind The Mud Room, a small graphic and web design studio based just out of Warragul, Gippsland in regional Victoria, Australia.

HERE’S MY NO-BORING-BITS BIO

I’m a design school dropout and a bit of a creative renegade. Like Sinatra, I like to lead, not follow, and do things my way by learning from experience.

I share my creative space with my husband, our daughter, a sustainable living blog @downrightraw, two spoodles and a fruit tree nursery, with 150,000 trees over at Sattva Nursery.

But I’m not going to lie: I have a dirty little secret.

You see, I really, really love pottering in my veggie garden and getting dirt under my nails.

And I adore digging in the dirt, planting a delicate seed and then lovingly nourishing and nurturing it into a big, blossoming beauty.
So I guess it’s only natural that this is exactly what I do in my business for your business … just with a pencil, laptop and some creative design skills.

Grounded in earthy creativity and forged in a fire of intuitive design strategy, The Mud Room helps conscious creatives and female business owners illuminate their assets and bring light to their pursuits through authentic and artistic visual aesthetics.

My design style is earthy, wild and hand-drawn. I believe in creating designs that simultaneously act as art and strategy and that attract your dream customer’s attention and capture their hearts.

How can we work together?

  • I design and develop websites on Wordpress, Squarespace & Shopify for small businesses that are passionate about what they do.

  • I help take the headaches and confusion out of getting a website up and running.

  • I will take my time to understand your business, and craft an engaging and creative solution, just for your business.

  • I strive to stamp out the overwhelm and bring back a sense of calm, connection and purpose to the process.

All flowers start with a seed

But take your time, sip your cuppa. Let your vision unfurl. And when you're ready, come share your ideas with me.
