5 things I’ve learnt on Clubhouse

I’m sure you’ve heard about the latest social platform in 2021. And if not, it’s an invite-only voice-based social media app. It kind of feels like a live podcast, where you can raise your hand and ask questions.

The last week I’ve been bouncing between rooms and soaking in all that I can from a wide-range of different topics. From business tips, marketing, design and plant based living rooms, I’ve been joining in on them all.

So I’ve thought I’d pull together a list to share my experience so far.

Here are the 5 things I’ve learnt on Clubhouse this week:

I’m a huge believer in ‘Community over Competition’ and this is something that I’ve really seen shine through on Clubhouse. Joining groups that are relevant to your career path, can connect with you with some amazing people. Since joining Clubhouse, I’ve managed to forge connections with a huge range of small business owners, that I otherwise would never have met. I have found that it has also boosted my instagram account. By chatting in rooms over on Clubhouse, the conversations and relationship building has then moved over to Instagram. The 2 apps work hand in hand to foster connection with your new found friends.

If you’re wanting to up-level and learn new skills. Clubhouse is the place to be. It is basically like a 24/7 interactive conference, where you can jump in and learn so much on how to run your business. My personal favourites have been marketing, e-commerce and funnel tips, that I know will help me serve my clients better, along with creating a better customer experience when working with me.

After a tough year in 2020, I have been taking on all the self-care tips and trying to figure out how to work through burnout. Here are some gems that I have found:

  • Daily Journal & Gratitude practice
  • Create a money altar to attract abundance
  • Working my schedule in with my cycles & the moon cycles
  • Working and making the most of my human design knowledge (P.s. I’m a Manifesting Generator)
  • Using Tapping to work through emotions

and last but not least

  • creating a vision board for what I want to achieve in 2021

Another bonus of being on Clubhouse, is that my google analytics have totally spiked. The traffic to my site since being on Clubhouse, has jumped up by 65%. With a HUGE 240% increase in traffic, when moderating my own room.

And I’ve received 3 strong leads!

The biggest lesson that I’ve learnt is that you don’t have to be an expert to get involved in Clubhouse.

It can be daunting to step up to the stage and join in on the conversation. But once you’ve given it a go a few times, your confidence will build!

The beauty is that you can ask questions to people you admire and experts in the field. There is so much to learn! And without getting involved, raising your hand and joining the stage, you won’t get the best out of the platform.

So don’t be scared! Jump in, suck up the confidence and get involved in the conversation!

If you’re on Clubhouse and are loving it as much as I am, be sure to find me and say hello! My handle is @themudroom

I did also want to note that it really sucks that Clubhouse isn’t more accessible. I really hope that they are working on ways to be more inclusive, as I think it would really bring a richer and more diverse experience.

I can’t wait to connect with you all.
Back to the mud room now I go…
